I had a lot of photos with these large electrical formations in them.  What are they called?  And James Taylor has a CD out that is doing very well.  So there you have it!

There is good music to be discovered and purchased easily and without a lot of cost using this method.  First go to the Billboard 200 and see what is there.  It makes sense to use music that is popular at the moment if you are interested in having somebody see it.  My most favorite slide show so far is done with classical music (Rachmaninov) and 11 viewers have seen it so far.  The one with James Taylor has had almost three times as many viewers in just one day.  And I really don’t think it’s very good.

So you can play snippets of the songs at the Billboard 200.  Then if you find something you think you enjoy go over to YouTube and find it there in its entirety.  Listen again a few times and see if you really do like it enough to listen to it many times while adding photos in ways that makes sense.

It’s not an exact science in my opinion.  But we all know that right?  We have been watching music videos for almost thirty years now.

Play the song and look at photos.  Try to find a link whether subtle or obvious.  Add a group of your photos in a new file dedicated to this song.

Go to Amazon.com mp3 and buy/download the song for 89 or 99 cents.  Buy the whole CD if you really like a few of the songs.   Check out Picasa3 beta.   It’s so simple to make a slide show with music using this thing.  It’s incredibly easy.

Windows Music Maker 2 comes with Windows XP and it is a little more challenging but if I can figure it out . . .

Add photos and songs and go to work.  It’s so much fun.  Upload to  the YouTube.  Enjoy.

For Robin/ Sergey Rachmaninov/ Piano Concerto N1 in F sharp minor/ Clouds and My Journey Home

I realize I have gone off on a tangent here with these slide shows incorporated into YouTube.  But we must follow our creative impulses where they lead.  Must we not?  And I am talking about small creative impulses.  I have the most basic software to do these things.  And I have photos of very few things compared to the wide world that is out there.

But I have a desire to merge photos and music.  Since I don’t make any music I use what I have and love.  If anyone objects to me using their music I will not do it.  This is the confusing part to me based on what I see all over the place.

Blogging is about enjoying and creating things in my mind.  And sharing them too.  Primarily associated with taking photos.  This is why I’m still here while so many lose interest.  Believe me that fact is a very big surprise to everyone who knows me.  They are amazed that I persist in this effort.   Who is this person we do not know?

It is because I find love and joy in art.  They are there for anyone who is willing to look and attempt to participate in their creation.  It  is simply a matter of finding something creative to do outside that finds these feelings inside.  And then keep going back whenever you feel yourself drifting away into the confusion that is life.

This may be my way of focusing on something more fulfilling  than economics or politics.  So be it!  I lived through the tumult of the sixties and have no desire to do it again.   Zachary will have to go in my place.  And he is ready and fired up.  Go get em big guy!

Right now I am uploading a video that excites me very much.  And I probably shouldn’t say that because now you will have too great expectations.   Or perhaps none at all based on previous efforts.  Who knows?  Nobody says a word about these things.

I would like to dedicate this effort to Robin Easton.  It is something she will appreciate I am sure based on its theme and content.   Robin is my beloved blogging buddy.  So many bloggers know and love her.

So hopefully you will enjoy this five minute present Robin.

The Beatles/ Patty Boyd/ Craig Ferguson/ YouTube

I decided to try and clean up my diet this weekend and am not having a fun time this morning.  I have found that you cannot give up things that are bad for you sometimes without actually feeling worse before you feel better.

Not a revelation for sure.   But the headache I woke up with this morning!  Refined sugar is a beast.  And it will not go quietly.

YouTube really is quite entertaining.  When I am out and about I sometimes will dial in to some comedy or a wonderful music video from the past.   This morning I have been distracting my brain from the pain by looking at some old Beatles interviews.  There are quite a few of them and they are fascinating.  I listened to Patty Boyd talk about her amazing love life with two famous musicians.  I also discovered the George was having an affair with Ringo’s wife!   Who knew?  What a complicated and untenable situation.

And then there is a video of Paul talking about how he met Linda.

No wonder YouTube is so popular.  Hopefully it and the TubeTube will get along and have a good working relationship in the future.

Here’s the link in case anyone would like to look at it.

I have been putting a lot of videos up here lately and think I will give the blog a rest.  I put together a couple of more videos and they are on my YouTube homepage here:

As you can see if you go there I become obsessed with someone and collect a lot of videos about them.  First it was Jordin Sparks.  Now it’s Craig Ferguson.

Women (and perhaps some guys too) put together these tribute videos of Craig.  And I enjoy them for some reason.  I’m trying to figure out why.  The fact that they think he is sexy really doesn’t mean much.

I don’t have a gay bone in my body just for the record and stay clear of other people’s alimentary canals having enough trouble with my own.  But I admire him and probably wish my life in the the thirties or forties was more like his.  He is a funny guy and also had the guts to give up alcohol completely.   He’s pretty honest about things as well.  He talks to the audience in the introduction without a script.

Sort of like what I do when I write a post in a ruminating way.

Just like this for example.

So I think I will go take a walk and try to get rid of the remainder of this headache.  I need to go take some photos for the Chamber of Commerce project and it’s no fun taking them when your head hurts.

Maybe the cool air will do some good.

And a few nasty cookies.  A hair of the dog that bit me in the *ss.

So to speak.
