Human beings are capable of amazing acts of creativity. And how often to we take the time to admire the things we create?
We as in human beings as in us. We do these things. So often it seems to me we see artists of various kinds as special and different. They are just like us.
We are all in this together. And we should feel pride in the accomplishments of our fellow inhabitants of the planet.
Beth and I especially enjoyed seeing and listening to some young people perform in the cavernous center of this huge and wonderful building. April was Jazz Appreciation Month and these young people were doing their best to bring back the big band sound.
There is an artist in each of us trying to get out! Ask these young people and they will tell you.
Here are a few of the works we saw on a rainy day in Washington recently.
