Andrea Bocelli/ El Silencio de la Espera / My Blogging Notions/
I have never been very good at sharing pleasantries. Conversation is one art that does not interest me. The surface of a meeting is one place I would rather not be.
And I was reading, reading, reading from an early age trying to discover some meaning behind the day to day routine I was being taught to survive.
When much younger I read so many great books by authors who spilled their souls into their work. In the process they gave me something very valuable. It was as if a visitor took the time to visit my small cell deep in the dungeon.
There was a connection made. And when one blogs there is always the choice we make regarding the attempt to connect with our fellow human beings and share the things we find. The moments when the door swings open and we fly.
The times when we streak towards the sun.
So I try to follow in my small and hesitant way artists who lead us in the effort to build bridges between souls. I really cannot think of another reason to do this for very long
But only when I am not fascinated by the weather and impatient to share with you the fact that it was 24 degrees F outside this morning!
Boy it was cold! I can’t imagine what it was like up in Toronto for example. Or Maine. Where IS the sun?
Here is something to warm us all. Andrea Bocelli……
If within the soul
you were music,
if the sun were within you,
if you really were
within my soul,
then, yes, I could hear
the calm evening sea,
in my silence
the calm evening sea.
Andrea Bocelli

Warning: Listening to this song can be extremely addictive. I have listened to it more than ten times today and plan to listen to it this weekend many more times. You have been warned.
