Are We Feeling Good This Evening?

a photo of a yellow flower

, originally uploaded by Davidlind.

I was looking through some photos this evening and this one just reached out and hit me in the head.  I don’t know what to say about it.  But I feel it deserves to be seen at least as much as a political ad or a toothpaste commercial.  So here it is. And here’s something to go with it that I just downloaded  from Amazon MP3 Store.

I loved this photo. It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! I also was so touched and chuckled over your line:

“I feel it deserves to be seen at least as much as a political ad or a toothpaste commercial.”

    GREAT LINE!!!

You don’t do yourself justice or the photo because….this photo deserves to be seen WAY MORE than ANY ad or commercial. What it speaks of to me is exisiting beauty in the full blown open flower and then hope and promise of a shinning future in the bud. It is a pretty remarkable photo David.

Although I did laugh over that one line. Your humbleness also touched me. Very endearing. Hugs to you my friend, Robin

David – beautiful photo – I can look and admire and take pictures of nature, but especially of flowers over and over and never once get bored, think I seen it all or lose my appreciation for them.

Speaking of photos too – my new site is up http://evolvingscenes.com – it will grow slowly day by day, for now it is a baby!
Your photo sites are the first once I linked in the resource section and in the future when it gets going, would even love it if you have a favorite photo you would like to share on it with a few words from yourself.

Thank you Robin and Evita. You both are so encouraging. We are all on the same wavelength regarding flowers and so much else.

It’s important to find your voice when you blog. In my view a “voice” is something you feel compelled to share with the world. And the world wants to receive it. It takes awhile to get that combination right.

I love blogging. And I have found that when you love something in life you will pursue it in a constructive way until you get it. Obviously we are not talking about passion here. But you can love gardening or anything else that requires patience, work and imagination. And you succeed before you obtain your goals. Because the goals don’t really matter. You are in love with the process.

Somehow I can share much this way. And I rely on the many books and authors I have read who show us all how to do it. They reveal so much of themselves in their words. They don’t hold anything back. And if I can do half of what many of them do as a blogger I will succeed very well.

And both of you will as well. I see it happening without a doubt.

this is beautiful! it would be such a shame if they would just use it for political or a new toothpaste ad *winks*… why not a cover of an inspirational book?.. or maybe a bookmark if you feel unsure of its worth :)

i like its composition (as if i’m a prof photographer!!!) but i really do… and it lends a rich subject for an essay — the bud and the flower in full bloom: what we can be and what we have become…

Thank you Lareine. I appreciate your words very much. It is such a sad day and thoughts about beauty are helpful in some way.
