My good friend Robin at Naked In Eden : Ancient Memories in the Australian Rainforest wrote this about Virginia Breeze and its disorganized captain:
VIRGINIA BREEZE: http://davidnotes.com David’s blog has some of the most beautiful and cherished poetry I’ve read in a long time. It has moved me to tears on more than one occasion. If you enjoy heartfelt honest sentiments that speak of the core issues of our lives then grab a cup of tea, slow down and read some of David’s poems. They are written by someone who feels deeply and has an open heart. You will go away feeling like you know him. They are easy to understand and are mated with beautiful photos. My post this month was inspired by David’s poetry. His writing sets me free and encourages me to be authentic. He also writes about a variety of topics I find interesting, warm, real (and sometimes funny).
You can’t ask for anything better than this in the way of endorsements or morale building moments can you?
Robin is a treasure. Every once in a long while you meet somebody who you feel close to immediately and Robin is one of those people. There is a long list of readers who have fallen under her spell and I am one of them. Her writing is irresistible and she is funny, entertaining and brave.
That last quality I find very admirable. This fine lady lived in a rain forest and wrote a book about her life. Doing those kind of things requires courage.
If we are all unique then Robin is not afraid to share that uniqueness with the world. Why write a personal blog if you are not going to share something that your reader will not be able to read anywhere else? That’s my opinion about blogging and I find that Robin is the perfect example of somebody who does this extremely well.
I hope and pray she will always have time to stop by here for a few moments because I have grown very attached to her in a very short time. She motivates me to continue trying to become a better writer.
I hope you will take time to get to know her too. You won’t be sorry. I promise.

Have you met someone while blogging you made you feel this way?

to answer your last question, i could say “you”
… you really deserve that wonderful entry robin wrote about you… i know i don’t visit you that often, but i share her sentiments (especially with your “ruminations”
)…
anyway, re: arteypico link, i wasn’t able to find it too:)!
lareines last blog post..Roses, Loneliness and Tragedy
Thank you lareine very much. I have pretty low self esteem so it’s nice to have some medicine around for it. You are much appreciated around here too.
David I have to completely agree with lareine, especially after that last comment you left on my blog (on the binge drinking article). I am glad that in the past I was able to uplift you and I am so extremely thankful and grateful for your feedback and inspiration – it always seemed to come too when I needed it most. Funny how that happens, eh
Evitas last blog post..Vegetarian Recipe: Eggplant n’ Feta Veggie Pizza
Thank you both so much. I live so close to heaven and hell and you both keep me flying in the right direction
Dear David, I am sitting here with tears running down my face. That seems to happen a lot when I visit here. I always feel like I’ve come home to myself when I come and read your writing. Like I can breath again. The Blogosphere has been a wild ride of late, one that I am trying to slow down from and lately reassess my place in it, if any. I certainly need to keep my feet on ground. And you have helped me do that more than you know. I refuse to lose Robin in the mayhem that can sometimes accompany Blogdom. As you know I would walk away before I let that happen. Something about your honest sentiments makes me stronger and more me. You are like a shining reminder of who we all REALLY are.
I am profoundly honored by what you’ve written here. And those words don’t even convey how it affected me reading this. Actually I’m stunned. I agree with LAREINE and EVITA that you are one of those people for me. I was glad when LAREINE wrote that. I come to this place here and read your poetry and other pieces and see your photos and I don’t forget it. I read some of your poetry to my sweetheart and he was touched by the writing and depth of sentiment. He agreed that it needs to go in a book with your photos. Things like that change the world, David…change lives. Your poetry brings a deep peace to the reader and they feel like you know firsthand and have accepted the human condition…..and that they don’t have to hide anymore or feel unseen or ashamed. To read your poetry is to feel seen, loved, accepted and understood.
Thank you my friend for seeing and encouraging the truest part of me.
Robin
Thank you Robin and thanks to your sweetheart too. This has been a wonderful morning and so much blessed emotion coming through all these little pixels. It’s amazing what writing can convey isn’t it?
Beth had me outside mowing and now I am a soggy mess. I am a heat machine and not in a good way. I went up to the gas station for gas to run the lawn mower and had the door wide open pumping out Jordin’s CD. It must have been a sight with my soggy shirt and sweatband. This 55+ year old guy listening to 18 yr old Jordin Sparks and having a great time.
The spirit wants to be young and dance in the fields with the pretty girls who know how to sing and have kind hearts.
(I may have to start a group for all of you)
