The Blue Heron was fishing the other morning in the spot normally occupied by the geese. The geese don’t like anyone coming into their territory. So when the heron left they quickly moved back home.
Then he returned and they spent a few moments talking to each other. But then one looked away and the other one looked away.
And they both went about their business.

Nice photo! I managed to snap a picture of a confrontation last year - my kids and I were feeding pigeons and sparrows, the pigeon decided the sparrow was Persona Non-grata, and proceeded to step on it, holding it down while he ate the remaining bread.
Amazing what our feathered friends are capable of…..

Yes. I like that too. I don’t want to lose too much of my focus on what is happening around me. Hopefully the technical skills will come but I am not too concerned with a time table. I really like the flower you photographed with the different colors (top one). Never seen it before. Great.
