In his defense he was just starting out on the national stage at that point and he did well to win the contest. I thought he did several things that were pretty awesome.

I was more impressed before! I knew this was a cover of Chris Cornell. I thought David Cook was realistic who came up with this version on his own. Now I feel like he’s just a poser. Next thing we’ll hear is that his awful rendition of Lionel Richie’s Hello was a cover of a cover too!

I don’t think you can download it. You can probably buy it for 99 cents at Amazon.com mp3. Or you can go to Youtube and listen to it there. So glad you enjoyed it. I do too.

It’s the studio version of the song. It doesn’t say it’s DC’s version of the song. And everybody acknowledges Chris Cornell. Chris seems pretty happy with all the publicity too. So what’s the problem?

This is not David Cooks version of the song…it’s Chris Cornell’s. It was originally released on his latest studio album called “Carry On.” David Cook basically stole this great cover version from Chris Cornell. Do your homework…prove me wrong.
