Don’t Stay Home And Wait For A Call

I have been having a total blast yesterday and today with Flickr and JPG Magazine. Both of them are full of great photographers. And they are all so enthusiastic and encouraging.

Don’t stay home watching everyone come looking for Jordin Sparks and her sidekick Chris Brown. You wouldn’t believe how much traffic I get for those two! And how much did I do to get it?

Nada. No how. I spend hundreds of hours on stuff that one person wants to see. It’s just …the way it is.

In any case these two social outlets dominated by photographers are my salvation at this moment.

Get yourself a good camera and a couple of good lenses and join the fun. I am telling you it is not about blogging anymore. It’s about blogging when you want to stay home and these guys when you want to go out and have some fun!

I’m glad you’re enjoying Flickr. :) There is another group which I think you’d really like on there. It’s this one:
    http://www.flickr.com/groups/weekly/

The idea with that one is you post a photo and all week people leave you feedback about your photo, and you do the same for theirs. At the end of the week if more people like your photos than don’t you get to keep it in the group.

Seeing how you like talking to people and seeing great photos I think you’ll enjoy it.

Thanks Helena. I really appreciate your tips. That group looks really good. Tough but good. They are not going to overlook any imperfection. I wrote the admin and we will see if he lets me in.

Everyone has different opinions and its not always about the perfect photo, but one that people enjoy. :) It is a good group to get feedback and learn.
