NewsLink Briefs

There is a new post up at NewsLink Briefs about This Date In History.

I really enjoy doing these because I learn so much from them. And they give me a chance to work on my writing a little bit without having to come up with a lot of new material. That is especially useful on a day like this when I am too sick to do very much.

Here is a photo from our recent DC trip. The cherry blossoms were just starting to bloom and actually came into their glory the last day we were there.

This photo is from the last day of our trip and the trees have filled out. In the background is the old Library of Congress building with the dome on top of it. We had a great tour of the facility thanks to the generous efforts of Beth’s friend Kurt .

Looks like tufts of cotton covering the branches. I haven’t seen very many cherry trees as they don’t do well in Texas. Pretty pretty. Like the close-up best.

Hope you’re feeling better soon! Next time stay away from the plague place, if you know what I mean…. LOL
