Dawn On The River / James River Sunrise
Table of contents for 6/James River Photos
This morning I was able to get out and take a few photos down by the river. I went to the park which is about half way from the bridge to downtown. This is the area they turn into a pedestrian area on Saturday morning. You are definitely a second class citizen in your automobile.
No problem. This will probably be the last time I do this for awhile. Spring is starting to show up and we will be traveling. Other subjects will present themselves. But this past winter I have learned to love just sitting on a rock and listening to the river run along towards the city. Waiting for the birds to respond to the sun rise and fly off towards it is not a bad way to start the day.
This morning the clouds and sunlight shared the sky in about equal proportions. Once it is fully on the scene the sun turns most everything on the river facing it a reddish hue and you can see this in some of the photos.
So here are a few shots and a slide show. Click on the post title to enlarge the photos and click on the slide show if you want to see them in a full screen view.
James River Sunrise dedicated to Mark at Probloggers Matrix. He is an enthusiastic and very helpful guy who loves the James River as much as I do.
