NewsLink Briefs
The new blog seems to be doing well. And I say that not based on any great number of readers. According to Google Analytics there have been 53 visits in the last three days including today which is not over yet. This blog is two weeks old and it has no traffic from any of the search engines.
So why do I think this is hopeful? Because of the 53 visits 29 are returning visits and 24 are new visits. 55 percent of visitors are returning visitors. That compares with about fifteen percent for Virginia Breeze. So it would seem to me that this statistic is valuable in terms of discovering whether a blog has a future.
Is this new blog funny or entertaining? I don’t know. It would be nice if you the reader would go look at it for five minutes and come back and tell me. Maybe just give it a number from one to ten. One is that it’s a total waste of time. And ten is that you fell out of your chair because you were laughing so hard.
But actually the fact that visitors come back is probably the best indicator in this regard. I hope so. Because I enjoy doing it and would like others to enjoy it too. Hopefuly everybody realizes it is an attempt to do some satirical writing.
