Virginia Breeze Poetry

The vacant stare you now possess

Slumped upon my chair

Reminds me of the mannequin

Awaiting his new suit of clothes.

To help the young men on their way

And dress them well upon their day.

So they may please their lovely brides

As you once pleased

Before you died.

Marion Cotillard/ A Wonderful Actress

Marion Cotillard won the Best Actress Award and gave a wonderful acceptance speech. This followed her win at the 2008 Golden Globe Awards. Ms. Cotillard grew up in Paris and was instilled with the artistic life at an early age. Both of her parents were participants in the Paris theater community and encouraged their daughter to excel in the arts. She played a small role in the Tim Burton’s 2003 film, Big Fish, and had several other roles early on that demonstrated her skill and versatility. This led to her being chosen by director Olivier Dahan to portray the the legendary French singer Edith Piaf. Although he had not met her before he chose her he said there was a similarity in their eyes. But I am sure her reputation also preceded her and she did an amazing job. She became the character she played in a most amazing manner and won many awards and much praise for her work. She is the first French actress to ever win an Academy Award in a film spoken entirely in French.

Here is video of her and her role.

Things Are Looking Up

It’s almost March. That means it’s almost Spring. And this is a good thing. It was nice out today and I was feeling the spring cleaning bug so I cleaned some windows. Always use a squeegee when you clean windows. Don’t mess around with the spray and the paper towels. All you are doing is moving the dirt around. And when you are done and think you did a fine job you will be disappointed. The next time the light shine on the glass it will laugh at you. See!

In any case I cleaned some windows and everything looks brighter. And my new blog NewsLink Briefs is doing well. Probably SU has something to do with that prognosis. And I would like to say in front of the whole world or at least six readers that SU is not bad. It makes us feel bad because we want more traffic. But it’s not bad. All we have to do is remember that there is nothing in the Bible about stumbling your own posts being a sin.

My new blog is doing well. So far today it has entertained about 300 readers. Most of them were moving too fast to be entertained for very long. But that’s alright. I think it will be fun. And that’s the most important thing. The theme by Mr. Adii is pretty cool. And Mr. Adii seems like a nice person. He must be very intelligent to actually be successfully selling themes to the general population for one hundred dollars a pop.

There are not too many folks who can do that. But there will be more. Because bloggers are willing to pay for good themes. And as they say. . .You get what you pay for in this world.

He does need to improve in the support department however. But do you think he wants to hear that from me?

It’s very easy to fall into the category of someone who asks stupid questions when you are a blogger. And I hate falling into that category. Unfortunately the medication I am taking makes it almost certain that I will do it on a regular basis. And I am a senior citizen as well. We all know about those guys. . .

I started blogging last summer at the American Idol website. And guess what? They have started a new season so they did something to my blog! They treated it like you treat an old car in a junkyard. You know those machines that squeeze your car into a cube that can fit into the glove compartment of your new car?

That’s what they did to my blog. So once again we understand why it is a good idea to own your domain. Right?!

Be the Master of Your Own Domain. Just be careful. Kramer might be out there and you don’t want to mess with him. Don’t give up. Being a blogger is learning to be humiliated on a regular basis. And that’s a good thing.

Because it softens up our egos. And although we would walk a mile to avoid that it is actually a good thing when this happens.

I can’t prove it to you. I just know.

My new blog

NewsLink Briefs And Hard Hitting News

President Bush said in his weekly radio address that Democratic leaders are blocking needed intelligence information in a bill that is stalled in the House. These leaders responded by saying that when it came to intelligence matters they doubted that he had anything worth responding to and furthermore even if he had sent them something it probably was lost in the mail.

The President responded by saying that he had sent them something and he put extra stamps on it so he was sure they must have received it.

Wherever the bill may be at the present moment sources say that it includes immunity for big telecommunication companies in case they are wiretapping somebody and they get caught. They say it’s just to protect them from terrorists who might want to sue them. But when asked about the definition of a terrorist they indicated that it was pretty much anybody who wanted to sue them.

Our intrepid reporter asked them if they were worried about a terrorist becoming so agitated by their wiretapping methods that he might blow up one of their buildings. And they reported that this didn’t bother them because they liked to work at home and had lots of electronic gear in their bedrooms. Our reporter sensed something was odd about this answer and asked them how they managed to get permission to work in their bedrooms while their coworkers were going to work every day in tall buildings that might get blown up.

And they responded that they didn’t have to ask anybody to do anything because they were in charge and if they wanted to work at home in their beds like Hugh Hefner it was their business. And furthermore if they wanted to screw themselves into a light socket it was their business too.
