Congratulations NY Giants And Their Fans / Pep Talk For Bill Belacheck

Posted February 3rd, 2008 by David and filed in Blogs or Posts

The NY Giants beat up Tom Brady and won the Super Bowl tonight. This battle started before the playoffs when these two teams went at it. And it was clear at that point that the Giants were a big threat to the perfect season of the Patriots.

After Eli got away from just about the whole Patriots team and the guy caught the ball with the top of his helmet I knew that Edgar was working hard and the Giants were going to win. I told Beth ” Manning is going to throw a pass to Plexico Burras in the end zone and win the game”.

So Congratulations Giants. Thanks Edgar Cayce for doing your thing. Jordin sang the National Anthem extremely well. And I know she is happy with this win for her father and her family. Hopefully she will recognize the part Edgar played in this victory and give us a call.

She is such a sweet person. And very talented too.

This was the plan:

Update: I was listening to Patriots coach Bill Belacheck being interviewed after the game and he didn’t sound very good. I wasn’t watching the tube but if he looked the way he sounded he must have looked pretty bad too.

Over the years I have seen many folks interviewed on television after their house burned down or blew away in a storm.

Many of them sounded better than Bill. They were happy to be alive for one thing. They were newly aware of the fragile nature of life. Some of them only had the clothes on their backs as far as material possessions were concerned.

Bill needs to get a grip. There is no such thing as football immortality. There is a building in Canton, Ohio and inside is some memorabilia and a lot of information. The Patriots are a great team. They had a great season and they came within an inch of winning it all. Sure it hurts to come up short. But just maybe the universe conspired to bring about a Giants victory so Bill could learn an important lesson.

This is why we are here. And we learn difficult lessons best when things hurt. It makes us pay attention. Bill needs to see beyond his pride and the team pride. It’s just a game. Just about everybody in the world including a lot of NFL players realize it is just a game. And there are many, many things that are more important.

The smile on your child’s face is more important. Your health is more important. Sean Taylor , the Washington player who was murdered in his home earlier this year knows (wherever he is) that there are many things more important than football. Walter Payton “Sweetness” knows it too.

When something happens in life that is painful it is a golden opportunity to do one thing. Get over it. Put it in the rear view mirror. And prove to yourself and everyone else that your Spirit is strong.

Physical strength can take you only so far in this world. At some point Spiritual Strength has to kick in and take you the rest of the way. And you don’t get to coach in this one Bill. You have to be a player. And don’t be too proud to ask for help if you need it.

You have to win this one for yourself and your family. You’re a strong and very smart guy. We know you can do it.

    Ah, David,
Here I had such high hopes ( and absolute certainty) that my Packers were going all the way, but I was pulling for the Giants in the Big Game. What a great TD at the end. I screamed so loud, my neighbors probably thought I was watching a re-run of the Ice Bowl!

It was cool. I have to admit. How that guy held on to the ball while he was falling backward and it was stuck on the top of his helmet I will never know.

Wait, I just read your other post…you’re talking to Edgar Cayce? Freakin’ sweet! I will have to somehow find a medium to consult him for next year’s NFL season, lol.

A lot of people are calling for a rematch this season, but both teams have a few issues they need to address before that is going to happen.
