Mr. Spock Did Not Complain
Table of contents for 8/Writing
Today is one of those days where I need to catch up with the piles of stuff I have put everywhere. I have two large bookcases of books in my bedroom and they have started serving as a repository for anything I can stuff in the cracks above the books.
Gloves. Mail. Small boxes. Envelopes. Printing paper. Camera parts.
You get the picture. And it is not a pretty one. New shelves need to be built and today is the day. It’s out to the back forty and crank up the heat in the workshop.
I would much rather be blogging in here where it is warm. Also I have a computer situation and a wireless network connection that needs to be made. Those can be murder. I don’t understand how you can buy a laptop and it cheerfully logs on to your home network when you take it out of the box. And then your trusty old desk computer just refuses to even admit there is a signal in the area.
This drives me crazy! Well okay maybe I am already crazy so it drives me back into sanity again! Oh that’s stupid you say? No it’s not! Because you have to sit down and reason with you computer. You have to figure out why the firewall won’t play with the wireless signal. After awhile you become Mr. Spock Jr. And it is not a pretty picture.
Because Mr. Spock Sr. did not have a gut. And he did not complain.
Have a nice morning. I will be back when it is over.
