My oldest child will be 35 years old this year. And my youngest child will be 20 in a few months. He will no longer be a teenager. And after almost 35 years of raising children I can’t begin to tell you how happy this makes me.
Raising a teenager can be a very challenging project as many of you know. I certainly was a challenge way back towards the middle of the last century. But I am not here to burden anybody with the weariness I feel at times. If I can’t share something in a humorous way that might benefit us all then it’s not going to happen.
Let’s just say that in a few months it is going to be time for a really big party. And everybody will be invited to share in the festivities as I say goodbye to my last teenage child and welcome a new adult friend into the world.
I hope that he is looking forward to it as much as I am.
