Today I am feeling grateful for all guys and girls out there who help us to be safe. I was driving down the street today when a fire truck came blazing past. And there are police out there who are trying to slow down the maniacs who get behind the wheel sometimes and cause wrecks. I see ambulances whizzing around just about every day. And if I should get in a wreck all three of these would probably arrive in minutes to help.
Can you imagine what it is like to come upon a scene with two young women in a car that has just crashed into a tree. Both of them are gone. And you are the first to arrive on the scene. It takes a special person to be able to deal with something like that on an ongoing basis. It can take its toll on any human being no matter how strong.
So today I am grateful for everyone who does this for you and for me. They do it for everybody. Even folks who wouldn’t give them the time of day.
They are amazing human beings.
