Susan Flemming is a nice idea and it is something that I would like to do also. On each of the twelve days leading up to Epiphany I am going to post something that inspires my gratitude. There are so many things. Each day itself is a present.
Here is an interesting article about the Twelve Days Of Christmas. In my opinion all religions have something to offer and this sounds like a very good idea.

The first thing that comes to mind as I look around this room is how thankful I am that there are people out there who have devoted their careers to helping all of us remain healthy. My life would be a living Hell without the proper medication and some of those who are with us would not be alive today. Medical professionals go to work for us before we are even born and they follow us until our final day on this earth. And I don’t want to leave out the scientists who invent new medications and treatments.
I would have passed from the scene when I was eight years old if not for their kind assistance. What about you? Would you be here today?

I had open heart surgery when I was 5. Without the assistance I would not be here. I am thankful too!
