I need to catch up here since yesterday was the first day. There are really so many things to think about in this regard. One thing after another flashes through my mind and I want to mention all of them. But I think I will stop right here and say how grateful I am to have a father who has always been supportive. And he is not the least bit quirky like his only son. And I wish I had a brother if only so that he might have someone with whom he might relate on a regular basis. At the moment he is probably in his recliner up their on Cape Cod wondering how many more days he will have to sit there while his surgery heals.

Do you have someone in your life who has been there since day one? Could you even begin to make a list of all the things they have done for you? I cannot. So many things have been swallowed up by time. But the love is still here. And for that I am very grateful.
