The Cowboys are going to rest their players…

when they play the Redskins next weekend. And this is a very bad idea. Because they have not looked very impressive lately. They have a quarterback who needs to find his groove again without looking in his girlfriend’s direction.

Football is about skill but it’s also about Spirit.

And if you go into the playoffs after being beaten by the lowly Redskins you aren’t going to have much of it. That’s why the Patriots are not screwing around at the end of the season. They understand how important it is to go into the playoffs while you are playing your best football. Even Joe Gibbs understands it THESE days. “I’m not sure what their mind is,” Gibbs said. “Ours was that we’re not going to lose momentum. I’m going to guess they’re going to come at this as hard as they can.”

Joe Gibbs rested his players in 1991 and they lost their last game. But they went on to win the Superbowl. Because they were an established team made up of great players who were veterans. They were all about Business. And they didn’t have mood swings like TO. They were more like Tony Romo before he started dating Jessica and joined TO in his worship of the moon. It’s no wonder TO felt the need to speak out about this affair. He knows in his heart what has happened. Tony has become more like him! And that can’t be good in the long run.

Of course he can never say it that way! All he can do is make unhappy noises and then declare that he was “joking”. Is this the time for joking?

Dallas better beat the Redskins or their season is unofficially over.

But I’m not sure their leadership is ready to see the importance of this last game. So I am betting on the Redskins who are going to be sky high with emotion and playing in front of their fans. Many of them believe that Number 21 is up there looking down on them and just waiting for an opportunity to make a play. It’s a game of inches after all. And tell me he didn’t have something to do with that crucial play against the Vikings last weekend. Has anyone ever seen anything like that before? I turned off the television after the Vikings recovered the ball convinced that they would march down the field once again and eventually win.

I have learned my lesson. The Redskins and their extra player who is operating without a referee are going to beat a Cowboy team that only has the memory of Jessica Simpson looking down on them. Is that a fair contest? I don’t think so.

None of the Redskins are going to worry about getting hurt. What’s the worst that could happen? Nobody is going to have a gun out there. Every guy on Dallas is going to be worried about getting hurt and missing out on a guaranteed trip to next week and possibly the Super Bowl down the road. Because you know they are “that good”!

except for the combination of Tony Romo and Terrill Owens. But Tony is paddling down Moon River now and TO is…….Where is TO? Oh, that’s right. He’s out of the game! He sprained his foot and says he is not going to play.
