And around the world! Backlinks bring us together.
3. Backlinks from relevant sites
“Until you get links from other, relevant sites, your blog sits in isolation from not only the great World Wide Web, but also smaller “niche” networks. Your goal from day one should be to network with and engage other topically relevant sites. “–Ryan Caldwell
—Performancing.com 12/12/07I have been thinking about backlinks lately. Because the article from which this quote was taken talks about backlinks. It mentions five very important things a blog needs to have in order to succeed.
Remembering important activities on a daily basis
I remember to look both ways before driving my car out in traffic. I remember to kiss my wife and tell her I love her every day. And now I am going to add backlinks to this list.
If you have similar content in you blog and read this post please ask about a link. Do you take pictures of your surroundings in your blog? Do you talk about your life and things that you discover on the web? Are you interested in software that makes blogging easier? Do you blog about trips that you take? Do you enjoy nature?
Then why are we not linked?
Success means a lot of different things to different people. To some it means financial reward. To others it means artistic growth. And to others it involves making progress on a spiritual path.

Soon it will be time for New Years resolutions. Well, mine is already on the table. And it is not an easy one for someone who is pretty introverted. But it’s important in terms of blogging success.
Isn’t it?
So let me go out and find some relevant blogs and link to them. I’m not going to wait for them to come to me. Hopefully they will be curious enough to come back here and read this! Hopefully it will make sense to them and they will reciprocate!
But it’s necessary to take the bull by his proverbial horns. Are you willing to do that too?
