Here’s an interesting post on ways to increase traffic to your weblog. It is thoughtful and well written. I may have to try a few of these things because I have noticed that my two readers are alternating days now and taking off weekends. I wouldn’t mind except that I am paying each of them for a full work week.

And maybe putting up a photo of a traffic light is not such a bad idea. I could have it shining green all the time. It would convey a subliminal suggestion. “Come on in. Hurry!” What do you think when you see a green light? Do you worry it is going to change before you get there? Does it make you feel like your day must be going well?

What do you do when the light turns yellow? Do you try to stop? Do you speed up? I’m trying to ask questions here without answering them before the post has ended. Because someone told me that I do that and that’s why nobody else was answering the questions. But I still say that, unless Helena is around, nobody is going to discuss their driving habits here. Why do you think that is the case?

Every Wordpress blog comes with an invisibility plug-in that pretty much keeps anyone from commenting on a Wordpress blog. Why? Because if there were more comments there would be more conversation. And if there were more conversation there would be fewer blog posts written. Because there would be fewer hours in the day to write them. You would be busy talking with your readers.

And if there were fewer blog posts written there would be fewer new Wordpress blogs started because the old ones would not fill up as fast.

Did I just answer my own question?

Maybe you all would do better by just going to Tell It Like It Is and reading about traffic.

Do be aware of this however…..

Cool. I think I will try the MySpace thing right now. It has been languishing for awhile and the last post did give directions here. But it should be more interesting than that in order to make someone want to make the effort to come here. Good point.
