Cool Pictures Of Virginia/ Taking To The Outdoors/ Jeremy

Here is somebody I don’t write about very much. Probably because I don’t see him that often. But I should see him more and write about him more because he is very important to me. This is my first son Jeremy. And he is a very talented guy.

He is 31 years old and lives in Lynchburg, Virginia with his lovely wife, Sarah, and their son, Charlie. We all know Charlie of course. I have plastered his photo up here and over at StumbleUpon.com. Charlie is very fortunate to have a father like Jeremy because he is a kind and caring Dad. He’s also pretty smart and has a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering. They all live in a lovely home up near the mountains.

Jeremy is one of the finest people I know and I’m not saying that because he is my son. Believe it or not I can remain fairly impartial in this regard and wouldn’t say something like this unless it was true. I base this statement on something I have seen him do his whole life. He has never done a really selfish or wrong thing in his life. He has never lost his temper in my presence. He just goes down the road in a very constructive way and enjoys life a great deal.

And he has had to work hard to reach this point. He played NCAA Soccer in college and this helped pay for his education. He also got scholastic loans and his graduate school was paid for as well. Plus they paid him a fairly good salary when he attended graduate school. For somebody who started out with just about nothing I would say he has done well. And the future looks good. He has won awards at work that normally are not picked up until much later.

He is involved in church and also keeps in shape playing in a tennis league. And he always has projects going on. A couple of years ago he figured out how to install a lawn irrigation system and put it in himself.

He has an easy laugh and enjoys playing poker with his buddies. But he’s also a good husband and takes part in raising Charlie. He was up at night feeding him when he was first born. And he took Charlie up for a bath after the little guy did a number on his birthday cupcake.

The only thing I worry about are those winding roads up in the mountains and his propensity for following too close behind the vehicle in front of him and driving a little bit too fast. Hopefully he is working on that.

Anyway here’s a photo of Jeremy. He’s not up there taking a bow. He just saw the view and is describing it to the old slow poke who is still climbing. If you are still with me thanks for following along while a father takes a moment of his life to sing the praises of his son. I promise not to do it again. I am a lucky Dad.
