Saying Goodbye To Guests/ The End/ Part IX

Davidlind wanted to stay out back with the guys from outer space and make sure they didn’t slip up any more. The one who had fallen out got up after awhile and started measuring pieces for a bar he wanted to make. He didn’t use a ruler which was fairly impressive. He just knew the distances involved. D was still unhappy about the drinking episode but he assured me it wouldn’t happen again. Aliens have rather large heads and apparently they get hangovers that are also pretty big. They seemed to be doing okay in any case. I decided to go inside and maybe have a drink of something meant for drinking.

Edgar Cayce was standing in the living room.

Edgar, please don’t lay down on the sofa and go into a trance. I can’t take anymore of this stuff. And aren’t you supposed to be in heaven or someplace? Why can’t you stay put? Everybody else knows enough to stay here or go there. They are not doing all this back and forth stuff.

How are my relatives doing who passed over anyway? Do they have any messages for me?

“I could zone out as you put it and find out. Do you want me to do that?”

No. Forget it. Sorry I asked. How’s the President doing?

“He’s fine. I got it straightened out and he’s back home. Everyone up there is quite relieved.”

I bet. So what are you doing here? Are you interested in woodworking too?

“No. I’m here to talk with you. You need to rest. You worry too much. These earth changes will happen when it’s time. It’s better if you just forget about them and go on with your life. Your brother too. The both of you need a vacation.”

Where would you suggest we go?

“Sleep. Just go to sleep. And when you wake up you won’t remember any of this. I will have one of the space boys help you with that. They are experts at removing memories of certain events. I will make sure they are out of here before you wake up.”

Really? And I won’t remember any of it? That sounds pretty good. But could I ask you one small favor?

“Anything my boy. Ask away. Edgar is here to serve.”

Could the space boys give my readers some of this treatment? I don’t think they want to remember any of it either.
