Maymont Park/ Virginia Breeze

I liked the other template. But it was very frustrating to put up a photo like this that needs to be large . You could hardly see the horses. There is a wonderful flock of birds up there and they looked like black dots. I need space. Some folks say I need a spaceship.

But this is better. Is it easy to read? Please let me know. If you see any problems with it you would do me a favor by leaving a comment. I want to get this settled and move on to other things. But it has to be right. It will sort itself out this afternoon. But it will be a mess until tomorrow with words and photos trying to fill the same spaces. Eventually it will be sorted out.

Yes, the birds still look like microbes. But it’s a little better. This picture is about 640 pixels wide. And it doesn’t seem to have a problem. It’s not going to hold a picture that’s 1024 pixels across like the old template. But it’s better than a template with two sidebars that won’t hold a photo that large. And it has a banner! I recently had someone offer a critique of this blog and the main thing that seemed to bother him was the fact that it didn’t have a banner. Content didn’t seem to be as important.

So the most important things are a banner and one sidebar. Content is actually more important. But I guess nobody will read your content if it’s not attractively wrapped.

I like to use flickr for my pictures, and then I can choose the size to show the picture.

    Hey David,

the site looks really nice. I like the change. Nice and clean, easy to read and you are right it does leave room for pictures. That is kind of a pain at my blog. I think maybe I need to widen the columns a little.

Looks similiar to the geometric blog on myspace.

You have a really nice site here.

I started one, but have not had the time to set it up yet.
