Virginia Is For Families

Maybe at this time it would be helpful to put together the themes that run through this blog and suggest how they fit together. Anybody who spends any time here needs to know that it is worthwhile to be here. Your time is valuable although we do spend time just goofing around on the computer. Is this a goofing around place? I hope not. Maybe that is just vanity on my part. But I like to think of this as a place to go in order to relax and think about things that are fairly important. What might those be?

Are you an introvert? Recently I read that about thirty percent of the population has to deal with being an introvert. So a discussion of this may be helpful to someone. It has helped me a little to write about it. And I read somewhere that it should not be considered a condition that requires psychiatric treatment. So I learned something important. Some of the people I run into are thinking I need treatment. Surprise! Maybe you are not an introvert. Maybe you are exactly the opposite of one! Is someone important to you kind of quiet all the time? Would you like to understand that person a little better?

Photos of flowers and animals. Photography is turning into a wonderful hobby for me. And I would like to share the results with my readers. Maybe some of you will discover it to be a great way to enjoy life, have a blog or simply capture more memories. Everybody takes pictures but there is so much more to it than that.

Relationships. It is fun to build friendships on the web. Right now I am getting to know a guy who lives in Moscow. I find that very interesting. Also I spent most of my life knowing that we were at war with the Soviet Union. It was a cold war but still not much fun. I remember the Cuban Missile Crisis like it was yesterday although I was in middle school. So I would like to do something now that brings us closer together. We don’t want to go back there. This is not goofing around.

Every once in awhile I try to be funny. Humor helps us to be saner individuals. You can be goofy and still be trying to do something important. You are not goofing around. If you can find something humorous around here maybe that is a reason to come back and visit. My attempt at creating a new joke got a wonderful response from someone at a place called Introvert Retreat/ celebrating inner life in the outer world. These people are professionals and their website is very well done. I was flattered to receive such a nice response from them and they put the joke up there for everyone to see. So it must really be a joke!

There are reviews of books, blogs, movies and television shows in here. That might be something worth your time. Or maybe not. But some folks have really like them. The Men Are From Mars And Women Believe It post has generated a lot of response.

When we go to the beach or take a vacation I enjoy sharing things that we find interesting. Maybe it will help you in your search for travel destinations.

There are probably a few more things I’m not thinking about now. Software reviews although you can do better and more somewhere else with those. A few spiritual moments that may be helpful. If somebody else did this blog would I read it?

Probably not. Just kidding. I hope you enjoy coming here and I will always try to make it interesting for you. But then “you” includes lots of different folks with different interests. So it’s a challenge. But it’s a fun way to spend time in the breezy capitol of Virginia.
