I recently had a talk with Beth about blogging and spending time on a blog. Beth doesn’t really see why blogging is so much fun. And she’s right. Sometimes it’s not a lot of fun. But sometimes it is really fun. And that’s the part she doesn’t understand.
As I have said before my medical conditions play a part in blogging. And please don’t start looking around for a nice comfortable spot on the carpet to do some serious laughing. Guys I’m not suggesting you use this tactic unless you actually have a real condition that is helped by blogging. Probably there should be some medication involved and regular visits to your doctor. My condition is RLS or Restless Legs Syndrome. And sitting at the computer helps to keep it away. I tried playing computer games like Gothic 3 and Oblivion to deal with this issue but they became boring after awhile. So I started doing this and it does help.
So Beth and I were having this conversation about blogging and I was trying to make some good points about why blogging is good for people. It’s difficult to get it to come out right when you are an introvert as noted in past posts. So I really should have had this conversation as an email exchange over a couple of days.
But sometimes things don’t work out as you hope and we had this conversation about blogging. And I said, “You know people actually make money blogging!”. Well, that was my big mistake. Because just as surely as night follows day and controversy follows your average tweeny star the response came back “Prove it”.
So I have to do something about it. And it might be interesting to find out what is going on with this. I’m talking about the Google ad thingy that was approved for this blog. It’s out there somewhere and I have to go find it. Then I have to figure out how to put it up here. But I did the Blog Rush thingy yesterday and it seems to be working. So maybe I can install it without getting code related poison ivy. Actually this Blog Rush thingy is kind of interesting. If you click on it here and discover what is going on and do it we can start our journey to link heaven together. That might be fun! Maybe we will meet Elvis!
I am not happy about the Ad thingy however. And it may not last long. But if it keeps me here blogging I must try it. If things don’t work out I may have to try a different hobby. Like fishing……
