We will be going back to Virginia Beach next month for awhile. It’s actually very nice there in September. Towards the end of the month they have the Neptune Festival. Artists come from all over and make these incredible sand sculptures. It’s very interesting watching them go about their business. And I will be sure to get some photos this year.
I need to do chapter five in Ms. Jamieson’s book Create Your Own Photo Blog. I wouldn’t call it a review. Because who am I to review her wonderful book? It’s more like reading it out loud in case somebody else is interested in this subject. The problem is that chapter five is about code. And I feel about code the way I feel about poison ivy. Maybe we will try to break the chapter down into three or four posts so each one only takes a couple of minutes.
From time to time bloggers have asked me about trading links. So I set up the Blog Catalog page to include links to different blogs of interest. And I put up a notice about it on my profile page at Blog Catalog a couple of days ago. So, of course, nobody seems interested in it now! Which is fine.
Okay, I think I have procrastinated long enough. Actually, I really should enjoy going to the cemetery to take pictures. It’s a fun place. People are dying to get in there.
Sorry.

This is where I found the beautiful nymphs in the previous photo! They were hiding behind some of these plants. Maybe they were shy. But I certainly did enjoy looking at them. If they could only speak!
There were some wonderful orchids in this room. But don’t think for a moment that it is going to be all flowers all the time around here. I’m thinking about going down to one of the famous cemeteries in the area later today. And no I do not see dead people. Rest assured I do not want to see dead people. There will be plenty of opportunity for that later. Hopefully much later. But there is some pretty amazing art work to be found in one of these places. The only thing stopping me from going at this point is the fact that I would have to go alone. Beth is busy.
Maybe I will go anyway. Maybe I won’t. Let’s just sit here for a little while and see what happens….

I may have fallen in love with this bird. She exploded upon the scene as we were walking over a small pond. Beth has very sharp eyes and normally will discover a quiet bird or animal long before I am aware that there is something else breathing in the neighborhood. In this case, however, we were right on top of it and blissfully unaware when it took off and flew into an adjoining pond providing me with my adrenaline fix for the day.
