I really like Mike’s Money Making Mission. And it’s not because his stated and quite admirable goal is to make money. It’s because he is able to range far and wide from his main goal and make his blog interesting for many reasons. For instance, my blog is a hobby. As such I am interested in finding readers who will spend time here communing with nature and with me. Mike can explain to me how Google Analytics evaluates the length of stay of readers who arrive from various search engines. That’s something I need to do but have a great deal of trouble doing. He writes in a way that is interesting and easy to follow. I like the size of his lettering. It’s easy to read for an old guy. Maybe he can help me figure out how to increase the impact of my fonts. Who knows?
Did you ever become sad because readers are not digging into the golden posts you wrote two months ago? I do. And it is clear that I could benefit from linking to past posts from similar topics in my fresh posts. This could increase visits by three minutes. He has measured it! Thanks, Mike. I would not have thought of that and nobody else I have read has discussed it. And, believe me, I have read a lot lately. But only on a computer. Reading books puts me to sleep for some reason.
I digress. Another post of interest is one that is also not about money. It’s about Yein Jee. And it’s all about “the things you don’t need to know!”. Yes but these are very interesting things to know. And isn’t that why we often sit in front of a computer? Why rush around when you can enjoy learning about stone age chewing gum? Or a picture of a fossilized baculum over a metre long? We are here but a short time. And we should relax and enjoy it as much as possible.
But Mike’s ideas for making money are never far from the surface. I read Lots of Ways On How To Make Money where he ticks off over thirty ways to increase income in a quick brainstorming effort. There are many other posts about this subject and I plan to absorb them later in a more leisurely fashion.
There is also a notice about a nude Madonna picture. And while I have no problem with Madonna in her natural state this may cause some to shy away. It is like the post I put up last Saturday night that my wife wants me to take down. We cannot lead our lives hoping to avoid all controversy. Can we?
Mike is the insightful and prolific author of a diverse blog. I will be back here often to absorb many of the things he says. You may want to come here also and judge for yourself whether there is something for you.
