You may have noticed that Daily Ruminations sometimes replaces the Daily Blog Report. But that would only be true if you are one of the most observant individuals in the known universe. Which could be true. You might also notice that a tree in your yard recently grew six more leaves. Stuff like that.
In any case it has to be one or the other. Or neither. But never both. I had trouble finding a blog to write about today. I was excited for awhile because I found a guy who writes a personal blog who probably is a genius. And for awhile it looked like I finally was going to get the big brother I always wanted. I fantasized about him teaching me stuff about blogging and taking blogging adventures together in far off lands. But then as I was reading these really graphic violent images came into my mind and they didn’t come from me.
Anyway, my reader might not understand why I was linking up and logging on to something that impinges upon the tranquil mood we try to establish around here. He might ask for a raise or combat pay. So it was disappointing but I had to go. Because we have more pressing concerns. Where have all the homeless people in Chicago gone? I took a look at Drudge again and there are …Only 24 Homeless People Downtown.
I learned a helpful technique from a former leader of the free world about eight years ago and it gets me on top of situations like this. What is the meaning of the word “Homeless”?. And what is the meaning of the word “Downtown”? Because it could be that your home is a cardboard box. So you are not homeless. And downtown could be downtown from an earlier era. When the first settlers established downtown it was a couple of cabins and a community cow surrounded by six rows of tall corn. So maybe they can only fit 24 homeless people in the alley that used to be so much more.
Or maybe all the homeless people decided to go swimming in Lake Michigan and vanished like all those ships. I don’t know. But I am concerned. Because when people start to vanish I start to wonder about our friends from the Planet Bluggula. And my reader knows all about the Bluggarians. On June 9 (you will discover if you read my American Idol blog/front page) they tried to take Jordin Sparks back to Bluggula. Because she is so beautiful and can sing so well they wanted her to perform there. I have pictures.
I don’t know why they might want most of the homeless people in Chicago. Maybe they are planning a production of Les Miserables. I don’t know. But I hope this is cleared up soon. The Bluggarians might decide they need some bloggers next.
