One of the adventures I am having at the moment involves struggling with computer technology. And I ask myself why do I spend hours every day struggling to understand terms and concepts without the necessary training. It’s not like I am planning to earn money doing it. It’s really a love /hate relationship. And yesterday I was having a difficult time. I was falling down in the water like this guy is about to do. Except maybe he won’t . He’s at that moment when a number of things could happen. I wish I had my own tech guy who could explain things as they started to mess up my brain. Somebody on retainer. I wonder how much that would cost? If only I had encouraged my son, Jeremy, to study in this area. He asked me when he was in high school if he should learn to design jets or go into chemical engineering. I thought he would have better employment opportunities if he studied chemical engineering. He did this and is very successful in the field today.
But I should have slipped in a third option for him to think about . Let’s see , that was in 1992. “Son, I would like you to help me build a blog, someday. What’s that you say? What’s a blog! Well step right over here to my time machine and let’s take a ride.”
